Big things

I wrote this story last year. The characters were closely based on people I know from going to night clubs. I feel there is alot of potential in this, and i would like to rework it or possible write a series of short stories based on Nico and his adventures.

The height of the summer is setting in warm long days, hot sticky nights, and the fun atmosphere that is brought with the summer sunshine. Nico is lying in bed making best use of the free minutes he has. He’s trying to call the phone numbers he aquired last weekend. "What" he can’t believe it, all wrong numbers. He just doesn’t understand, thought they were really into him. He decides they are just a distraction anyway, after all its just women, music always first. If he’s ever going to make it big they will just get in the way, hold him back. It’s Saturday night anyway, always going to be some fresh, fine ladies in the club tonight. Time to get up his mums shouting “Get your lazy ass outta bed boy; you know your going shopping with me today!”

Nico drags his self out of bed and into the shower. His mum is still shouting in the back ground “hurry up boy, and don’t think u going to that sinful place again tonight you can just stay home with me”. He just ignores her he knows better than to aggravate his mum. The rest of the day drags in, the only thing that gets him through the shopping trip is his day dreaming. In his mind he’s in a mansion somewhere in America with half naked women all over him, and his big entourage.

It’s just as well his mum goes to bed early or he would never get out the front door. After a splash of aftershave and a quick brush or his teeth he’s off tip toeing out the door and into the warm night. Swaggering down the street gives his boys a quick call to see if they are heading out, they might appear depends how wasted they get, no matter though he will catch up with them after the club. He’s adamant he’s gone pull tonight, take some gorgeous blonde to his friends and show them all.
He checks his wallet to make sure he took the free pass to get in the club; he’s got just enough money to get drunk and a little protection tucked away just in case he gets lucky.

Outside there is a massive burley looking guy on the door, he’s new must have just started. Nico nods to the steward and goes inside. He’s feeling pretty hyped up as he enters the nightclub. After a quick look around he heads over to the bar to order a drink and scope out the crowd. In the far corner of the dance floor there’s a group of stunning women, one in particular tall, blonde, curvy, and just right. Gulping down his drink he orders another and another for courage. Half an hour or so later he gets his groove on the dance floor, edging his way over to the leggy blonde. Doing his best to look cool trying to catch her eye, only to look a little desperate, he edged a little closer still. He’s dancing in front of her thinking to him self how sexy he looks, how she can resist. Fact is she can’t even see him she’s got her eye on a tall handsome man over at the other side of the dance floor. The tall man has his eye on every thing and up every skirt and down every cleavage. The air in the place is hot wet and heavy, its only adding to the atmosphere, every one looks drenched in sweat.

Young Nico is still dancing his heart out. In his mind he is onto a sure thing, after all how can anyone resist he is destined to be the next big thing. So sure that she is into him Nico is grinding with her. He’s wrapped his self around her leg, it’s only then she notices him. Initially she thought some animal had taken to her leg just as a dog in heat might. She needs a crow bar to pry this thing off. She pushing Nico off, only Nico’s one track mind thinks she’s playing hard to get.

The tall guy has been watching from the other side of the room, this is his way in, his golden ticket to some heavenly pleasure. He talks to the girl asks if she needs help. Nico is enraged, utterly furious, he bites the tall guy in the leg. Tall guy is hopping about grabs a pint glass traps Nico inside. Nico can’t believe what just happened; he didn’t even see it coming. He’s trying to get out, banging on the glass shouting “let me out, I’m going to get you for this”. A sweet looking girl has been watching all of this, been watching Nico since he came into the club, even last week she was watching but was to shy to do anything else. Lilly the sweet girl is over right away to help both of them pushing and pulling from each side of the glass, he’s free, confused and wow who is this! Nico takes her in his arms straight away, kisses her.
The Tall guy whispers into blonde’s ear she just cant believe what he said, “of all the nerve”, she slaps him hard! The blonde leaves the club upset, the bouncer smiles as she is leaving. “Hello!!” they walk off together.
Nico and Lilly leave hand in hand; he really wants to show her off to his friends and perhaps even his mother.
All his friends loved her and he thinks maybe he does as well. They plan to meet the next day and every day after that.
