story of scotland

Set in the spring of 1308. A young woman becomes embroiled in a blood feud that risks the peace and independence of Scotland.
Robert Bruce and his supporters in their quest for an independent Scotland assassinate English ally the Red Cromyn.

The woman seeks revenge for the murder of father the Red Cromyn, John III Cromyn, lord of Badenoch.
She had been born out of wedlock and was kept a secret. Her father was huge part in her life and made sure she never wanted for nothing.

Her mother had passed away several years ago, leaving her with a vast knowledge of the black arts of which practiced and had been previously passed on through her mother’s bloodline. In seeking revenge it was this knowledge she drew upon.

Her faith always lay in Lucifer, and Bruce’s in God, this war was not to be theirs but only played out through by puppet masters not of this world.

Light shone through the dark just enough for the pair to fall for each other, in this pure emotion the darkness is forced back.

A secret wedding is planned, but the love wasn’t to last as punishment the woman is locked in a stone to live forever watching over Scotland…
Known locally as the Maidenstone she still stands at the foot of Bennichie. Watching, waiting, hoping for someone to decipher the stones carvings.
