Alasdair: I was told I could get some help here, some information.

Barmaid: turns her head

Alasdair: About a island, just…..

Fisherman 1: listens to what’s being said

Barmaid: she cuts him off mid sentence, And gestures to him to move to the corner which is cast in shadow.
She finishes pouring his drink and brings it over to him.

Alasdair/Barmaid: They whisper in the corner for a moment, he hands her a few coins.

Stow away

Two fishermen are on their a boat preparing to set sail. Both have their back to Alasdair. He sticks to the shadows and quietly climbs aboard. He pulls a pile of fishing nets over himself to hide.

One of the men had seen him in the inn and had been keeping an eye on him, knowing that he had stowed away on the boat.

Flash back.

King: throws a bag of gold at the fisherman.
In a raised aggressive voice: oh and be warned, if any one should find out!
Takes in a deep breath, then calmly says: be on the look out for a man, if he should try to get to her allow him passage. But be sure you leave them there with no way off, and send word to me.

Fisherman1: holding his hat, looking at his feet.
Yes my king.

King: if you help to aid his capture I will see you are rewarded. Waves his hand for the fisherman to leave, that is all.

Fisherman 1: leans down to pick up his gold, walks out the room backwards still with his head down.

At the shore

The boat pulls up to the shore.

Fisherman 1: leaves the boat with supplies and place them in a large wooden storage box a little way from the shore.

Alasdair: sneaks off the boat into the water. Emerges from the water behind a group of rocks.
He follows the fisherman up to the supply box, just beyond it he can see a small cottage.
He sees her standing at the window. And runs to the house giving his position away.
He shouts jess………….. Jessica. I can believe I found you again.

Jessica: standing at the window watching the supplies being dropped off. She sees someone running and turns her gaze to him. She recognises him she has a look of terror on her face, as she realises that he has been seen by the fisherman.
She runs out the cottage shouts, you shouldn’t have come. She has a tear in her eye
They embrace each other.

Fisherman1: looks on. Then turns his back and begins to head back to the boat.

Jessica: wait.. please.. please wait !!

The couple run after him, down to the shore.

Alasdair: I’m sorry I stowed away, but please, I will pay you to take us back.

Jessica: lowers her head. you don’t understand he’s an employee of the so called king !

Fisherman 2: what’s going on.

Fisherman 1: I pay you to work, mind your own business. As makes his way on board the boat.

Jessica: please sir, he will kill us. We have to get off this island.

Fisherman 1: has his back to them trying to ignore them, the boat begins to move off.

Jessica: on her knees pleading and sobbing. Please. Don’t leave us here.

Alasdair: you will regret this, don’t you realise what your doing.
Pauses and looks down to jess
Don’t worry.
He kneels down next to her, lifts her head. He wipes her tears then kisses her.
I’ve come this far to find you, we will find away out of this.

Jessica: lifts her head with a look of defiance in her eyes.
I no what I have to do.

The summoning

Jessica: standing in the shallow water. Lifts her hands to the sky.
She chants in Gaelic.

Search they sky. Search the sea.
The journey home, I have to find.
In the sky I command u to work for me.
Show me light, strike hard till the seamen go blind.
(Lightning begins to strike at the ocean)

In the depth of the dark, cold water.
By speed and haste take me across the waves
I command you to carry Lucifer’s daughter.
The monsters deep wake from your graves.
(The sea begins to churn and massive waves form. She falls to her knees)

massive creature emerges from the water, its making a angry screeching noise.
Its tail crashes on the rocky shore allowing the pair to board him.

Alasdair: shocked looks to the creature then to Jessica.
Takes Jessica (who is worn out kneeling on the sand) by the hand.

Jessica: exhausted she collapses into Alasdair’s arms.

Alasdair: catches her and lifts her.
I’ve got you my love.
He carry’s her on to the animal.

Still to script
They made it back to the mainland in a lightning pace arriving before the seaman could send word to the king of their union together on the island.

Within the week they had married, and set about building an army. Over the next year they grew in strength, and numbers.
By the time the year was over they had a child together, realising it would be in danger it was sent to seek safety in a convent in France , they planned to send for the child as soon as possible.

During the same year Ruairdh having been tipped off by the sea man, he prepared for his sisters threat to become apparent.
He doubled his army in size, and summoned dark warriors from the underworld.

The battle commenced on Christmas day 1338 on the mountain range on Bennichie, where Jess and Alasdair had set up camp.
The slaughter was imminent, they were outnumbered the battle was drawn out only because on the protection offered from the mountain.
On the 2nd day they had been captured and held at the top of the mountain by Ruairdh’s top guards.
Ruairdh unsheathed his sword turned and in a single movement sliced off Alasdair’s head. She looked down to her feet as her loves head rolled towards her.
Ruairdh turned to her, “commit your self to me, and marry me! Or u will serve as a warning to all who plan to cross me”
She spat in his face, held her head high, told him “does what u will, u can’t hurt me anymore”
Ruairdh lifted his sword and plunged it into the earth, as he began to chant lightning connected with the sword, and the sky darkened.
He pulled it from the ground and pointed it at her the lightning that had been harnessed into the weapon now surged wildly from it in the direction on her, and she was gone.
